Isaac Asare, alias Akonoba, a former youth organiser for the Ablekuma Central New Patriotic Party, claims that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not a responsible opposition.

He believes that if the NDC was a responsible opposition, it should have launched or released its manifesto a long time ago, stating its alternatives before the ruling government launches its manifesto.

He indicated that the NDC is only waiting patiently, so the NPP will launch its manifesto and copy some of the policies of the NPP.

Akonoba said that the NPP has always launched manifestos with bold solutions to resolve the challenges confronting the country.

He stated that “the NPP is a political party that does not joke with its manifestos, and it is something I would be proud of in boasting about our party. Since 2001, the NPP has launched manifestos that have brought about several transformational policies including the free SHS, health I surance sceheme and age ral others.

“I am of the view that, as a responsible opposition, you should have launched your manifesto because, as a party in opposition, your job is to bring out an alternative. But as I am talking to you now, they are always hiding and waiting for us to launch our manifesto so they can plagiarise it. As a party in opposition, you should concentrate on your programs and plans for the country, but you are wasting your time circulating a fabricated document known as Agyapadie.

I don’t know why seasoned journalists would be wasting their time on the Agyapadie document. If you are a journalist and you waste your time on this document, then I think there is something wrong with you.’’
He warned Ghanaians not to vote for the NDC because the alternative is scary, adding that ‘’the NDC as an alternative is scary. They have no solutions for the country’’.
