Residents have been left in shock since the deceased had been declared missing since January 2024.

Aboagye went missing on January 26, 2024, during a hunting expedition.

The suspect wgo was with him at the time denied knowledge the whereabouts of his friend.

But after more than six months into the incident, the hunter has confessed to killing him during the expedition.

According to Donkoh, the incident occurred in the Kakum Forest Reserve, specifically in the Assin Seidukrom area.

He was followed by a team of police investigators led by Detective Corporal Nii Armah Ashitey to where he reportedly buried the mortal remains of the deceased.

The police found Aboagye’s skeletal remains, identified by his distinctive clothing: Wellington boots, a black T-shirt, and black trousers.

The motive behind the killing is still unknown, but police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

Reporting the incident on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Agyadu Barima said the suspect and deceased were the best of friends and did everything together.

The suspect swore with the Bible and other deities on the day of the incident, claiming that his friend received a call and went home.

“But after several months, it remains unclear what happened when the suspect started shouting that he wanted to confess. Residents were surprised and wondered what was happening, so they drew closer to him. He then asked them to invite the police over because he had a confession to make.

The police were invited, and when they arrived, Emmanuel confessed that he was the one who shot and killed his friend. He confessed that his friend switched on a radio, and so he (the suspect) asked him (the deceased) to put the radio off since that could get them arrested. However, the deceased pulled a knife on him, and because he did not have a knife, he pulled his gun and allegedly shot him. That was what he told the police.”

The reporter added that the police used a shovel to retrieve the mortal remains of the deceased.
