The global president of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has stated that the government of Ghana owes him over GHC7.1 billion, including interest.
He said this was a fact that could not be disputed by the state.
He also noted that the amount owed him included interest.
Addressing a press briefing in Accra, Dr. Nduom said, “Per our arithmetic, we are owed more than GHC7.1 billion, including interests… They know they owe, and they can argue about interests; they can argue about that.”
He also announced his decision to suspend the “Bring Back GN Bank” campaign in September.
He initiated this exercise to embark on a nationwide tour of the 300 branches of the defunct bank.
The tour forms part of efforts by the business mogul to rally support from petitioners advocating for the restoration of GN Bank’s license, which was revoked in 2019.
According to him, he will resume his campaign in November, following a period of strategic planning and reflection.
