A 52-year-old man, Samuel Yaw Koranteng, is currently in the custody of the Nsawam police after he was seen with a biometric verification device (BVD) belonging to the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
He claimed to reside in Tudu, a suburb in Accra, after he was apprehended.
He was spotted on Friday, with the device identified by serial number VVD49976, in Nsawam by some local residents.
He was then handed over to the police by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Nsawam for further investigation.
Meanwhile, it remains unclear where he got the device from.
