Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has slammed the New Patriotic Party (NPP), referring to it as a monumental failure.
He asserted that the rate of dissipation experienced across sectors under the Nana Addo-led administration was terrible and nothing to write home about.
“The NPP government has been a monumental failure. They have destroyed our livelihood.”
Speaking at the launch of the NDC’s manifesto in Winneba on Saturday, August 24, 2024, the MP said, “They have indeed driven our economy aground. They have collapsed Ghana’s cocoa sector. They have wasted and dissipated Ghana’s public funds. They have destroyed our good governance. They have reversed the progress of our country.”
Dr. Forson stated that this has been further worsened by the mismanagement of the economy.
He also touched on the challenges confronting the cocoa sector and the scathing impact of the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme as part of the IMF conditionalities.
“They have delivered crude and painful haircuts across the board. They have corrupted the moral fibre of our dear country, and of course, they have implemented the ‘Agyapadie’ state capture plan,” she added on Saturday.
