The lifeless body of an 18-year-old girl has been found at Bebeanhia, Dormaa, in the Bono region.
It is believed the young lady may have been murdered and her remains dumped in a bush.
Reporting the incident on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Nana Kwame said a farmer who was on her way to farm saw flies and an awful smell coming from a location and followed to check what was and discovered the lifeless body of the lady.
Nana Yaw said the deceased had been placed on a cloth and swollen.
The private part of the deceased was also removed.
The farmer reported the matter to the police, and a team of investigators was deployed to the scene.
It also emerged that the deceased may not be from the area and may have been murdered and dumped in the area.
The police have launched an investigation into the matter and asked residents in the area to give them any vital information that can help assist with their investigation.
