An Okada rider believed to be in his thritees has been burnt to death for allegedly stealing a goat at Awutu Kwame Kwei in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
Details available indicate that the young man, Guy Man, and a group of other suspected thieves went to steal the goat in a town called Kwedukrom.
However, luck eluded him, as he was the only one caught after his accomplices had fled the scene when the residents in the area chased them.
Reporting the unfortunate incident on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Oheneba Ademah said the rider was known as an alleged serial thief who went on a stealing spree in the area.
He reported that he (Guy Man) was recently suspected of stealing and selling a motor, which prompted locals in the area to target him.
He added that the rider was first doused with kerosene together with his motorcycle and set ablaze.
Ademah said that after the incident, the police were informed.
The mortal remains of the young man have since been deposited at the morgue pending further investigation into the matter.
