The Board of Governors, Management, and Students of Kanjarga Community Day Secondary School have written officially to the Member of Parliament for South Dr. Clement Apaak, extending its gratitude for the release of an amount of GHC 10,038 to the school for the organisation of a 2024 WASSCE practical examination.
The school wrote to the office of the MP requesting support of the amount to help them run the 2024 WASSCE practical examinations.
The school, in its letter to the MP, said that it offers four learning areas, which are general arts, general science, home economics, and business, with the subjects that have practical components being chemistry, biology, clothing and textiles, as well as food and nutrition.
In their application letter, they informed the MP that the school needed to procure the materials that were needed for practical examinations in the subject areas with a breakdown attached, which amounted to a total of GHC 10,038.
The MP, in response, wrote to the Builsa South District Assembly, seeking approval of the amount from his share of the Common Fund to the school.
He said in his letter that the request followed the appeal made by the headmaster of the school to his office for support.
He also asked the Assembly to deal with the request with the urgency it deserved.
The school has since received the amount and extended their gratitude to the MP and the Assembly for the urgency under which the appeal and request were granted.
