The Electoral Commission (EC) has reiterated the need for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to come to the discussion table to enable both parties to address concerns the party raised over discrepancies in the register.
The election has also extended a formal invitation to the NDC requesting a meeting that will allow them to address the issues raised.
This was disclosed by Dr. Eric Bossman Asare during an engagement with the media.
He maintained that the political parties must choose dialogue between them and the EC to resolve any existing issues and ensure a smooth electoral process.
He said that constructive dialogue remains the most effective way to address any errors found in the register.
“We think that what will change something is the discussion table. We coming together, although we concede that political parties are some things which are entrenched in our laws, individuals can come together and demonstrate, and express concerns as far as they have certain things to express concerns about.
“So that one is not a problem to us. But we think that if the objective of the NDC is a solution to have a credible register, a robust register entering into the 2024 elections, we believe that they must be willing to come to the discussion table.
