Eight persons are reported dead following a gory accident Saturday morning.
The accident is said to have occurred in the morning around 5:30 am.
The incident involved a VIP bus with registration number GR 7632-24, which was travelling from Tamale to Accra.
The accident happened at Obretema of the Accra-Kumasi Highway, a town in the Suhum Municipality.
The accident includes a VIP with passengers on board heading from Tamale towards Accra.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus collided head on with a petroleum tanker.
The deceased persons were seven men and a woman.
Several others sustained injuries and were rushed to the Suhum Government Hospital for treatment.
