The Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG) has announced a nationwide strike.
The Association said in a statement that the nationwide strike action will begin on Friday, September 27, 2024.
According to them, the strike action has become necessary because the government has failed to meet its obligations under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and didn’t implement revised allowances for senior public university members.
TUSAAG noted that it threatened to withdraw all services across all technical universities in the country until their demands are met.
It also mentioned that the government’s refusal to implement revised allowances for senior members of public universities as directed by the Ministry of Finance in May 2024 was a clear violation of their rights.
