The University of Media, Arts, and Communication (UNIMAC) has postponed the reopening date for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The reopening of TG School was scheduled to begin on September 30, 2024.
However, the school has issued a statement announcing that the reopening has been postponed.
The decision was taken by the school following the ongoing nationwide demonstration by the Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG), the Senior Staff Association of Universities of Ghana (SSA-UoG), and the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) over some working conditions grievances.
The school, in a statement issued on September 26, 2024, said that a revised date for reopening shall be communicated after the industrial action is resolved.
Meanwhile, the school has noted that scheduled admission processes for students with short courses and special programmes will still be enforced.
