A former deputy general secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Obiri Boahen, has rubbished the numerous polls that have predicted victory for former President John Dramani Mahama.

The private legal practitioner opined that these polls will not be the true reflection of the December 7 general elections.

The party he stated does not rely on polls to win elections.

Mr. Boahen indicated that the party has relied on their strength, hard work, and the grace of God in winning elections and not polls or prophecies.

He said in an interview on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM that just as they have relied on their own strength and hard work over the years, they will do the same in the upcoming elections.

“The bottom line is that the NPP does not rely; they do not depend; they do not survive on opinion polls. We survive on our own strength, hard work, and the grace of God Almighty. So if InfoAnalytics and the others have predicted victory for the NDC and you trust in them, so be it. But the NPP does not survive on these things.”

He was optimistic of Bawumia’s victory, highlighting that the Vice President has bold solutions to addressing the numerous challenges confronting the country.

According to Mr. Obiri Boahen of the NPP, vice president Bawumia is preferred by most Ghanaians above former president John Dramani Mahama as the country’s future leader.

The lawyer promised people who respected these surveys that they would be surprised by the election results.
