Founder and General Overseer of Royal Rain Chapel International, Rev. Isaac Fiifi Ankomah, has stated categorically that the electoral-related prophecies that hit our media spaces ahead of our elections are fake and not from God.
The man of God posited these prophecies are based on selfish interests and an agenda by these prophets to make money from the two main political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He questions why these prophets have never seen visions about an electoral victory for the Convention People’s Party or any others, wondering if they are demonic, hence God’s decision not to make them win.
As a result, he has urged Ghanaians not to be misled by these prophecies, which are false and do not come from God.
“God has no interest in elections and does not tell any prophet who will win them. Our primary goal is to pray and avoid any type of violence that threatens the country’s stability. We must pray against politicians who go out and seek spiritual guidance from oracles who require human blood. However, it is not true that God has chosen leaders for us in Africa. If this is the case, we must question God and seek answers as to why he would give us incompetent leaders. The leaders he offers us based on the claims of these prophets are questionable. Why will God give Europe better leaders while giving us incompetent ones?
Why aren’t these prophets predicting that the CPP will win the election? Isn’t the CPP a political party? Are they demonic and despised by God? The CPP secured our independence, but these prophets only prophesy about the NDC and the NPP. God is concerned with protecting the nation, but he is unconcerned about who will be the country’s next leader. All those who predicted victory for the NPP and NDC are liars. Why aren’t they doing the same with the CPP? They want to be associated with the winning team for selfish reasons. They do these things because they stand to benefit if the party wins. Even politicians are aware that prophecies do not win them elections.”
