Presidential Special Advisor on Health Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare has reaffirmed that several of the Agenda 111 hospital projects are at various stages of completion.
The medical professional indicated that some of the hospitals are 90 percent complete, with several others at various stages.
He said this while engaging with the media on the state of the project while touring some project sites.
He disclosed that the team is currently on tour of the regions to inspect the progress of work in all the regions where an Agenda 111 hospital is being constructed.
He was emphatic that some of the hospitals would be completed before the end of the year, and President Akufo-Addo would also commission some of them before he ends his term as president.
Dr. Nsiah-Asare said they started the tour in the Ashanti region, have been to the Central and Western regions, and are still on tour in the other regions.
He asserted that after the tour of the various project sites, they will communicate exactly when the president will commission the completed hospitals.
‘’Some of them are about 90 percent complete. Definitely, the President will commission some of them before leaving office,’’ adding that the rest would be continued by the next administration.
The objective of this project, as envisioned by the President, is to ensure that Ghanaians in every district and region in the country have access to quality healthcare services.
The proposed project will boost the provision of healthcare infrastructure in line with the government’s commitment to ensuring universal health care for all.citizens and attainment of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG3).
Each of them will be a quality, standard-design, one hundred-bed hospital with accommodation for doctors, nurses, and other health workers.
