Two District Chief Executives (DCEs) have resigned from their positions.
The DCEs who have resigned are Edward Owusu, Municipal Chief Executive for Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Assembly, Bono East Region, and Millicent Kabuki Carboo, District Chief Executive for Biakoye District Assembly, Oti Region.
According to the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development announced the resignation of the two DCEs in accordance with Section 20(3)(c) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
The Regional Ministers will assume the roles of District Chief Executives for the two assemblies until the President appoints substantive replacements, a statement from the Ministry said.
The Ministry thanked the two DCEs for their dedicated service and contributions to the growth of their assemblies.
