A gruesome murder has rocked the community of Tepa Asuhyea in the Ahafo Ano North municipality of the Ashanti region, resulting in the tragic death of 24-year-old okada rider Antwi Silas, also known as Paa Yaw.
According to eyewitness testimony, Paa Yaw, a resident of Tepa Subrisu, was approached by two unidentified men around 11 pm to transport them to Asuhyea. Upon arrival at the Asuhyea cemetery, the suspects allegedly attacked and brutally murdered Paa Yaw, who cried out for assistance before succumbing to his injuries.
Bystanders nearby, who were at the cemetery, responded to Paa Yaw’s cries, prompting the suspects to flee, leaving the victim’s body behind.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and sadness within the community.
The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Tepa Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
The Tepa Police Command has launched a thorough investigation into the heinous crime and is actively searching for the perpetrators.
