The Metropolitan Chief Executive for Awutu Senya East, Madam Anita Love Obo Amissah, has taken at former President John Dramani, asking him to forget about returning to office.
The MCE says the only legacy Ghanaians remember about the former president is ‘dumsor,’ which she stated destroyed businesses and left Ghanaians in pain for four years.
Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, she said Ghanaians will not commit the error in voting back ‘’an incompetent president who plunged the country into four years of ‘dumsor’.
According to her, a vote for Mr. Mahama will bring back ‘dumsor; hence, we should not vote for him to return.
She told host Kwabena Agyapong that the recent power outages going on are something that the ruling government is addressing.
‘’We know our competent leaders are working hard to restore power. We should all know that we have sustained power for years. We should appreciate President Akufo-Addo for sustaining our power all these years. We are facing a little challenge that is being addressed, but some people are slamming and attacking the government and pretending we have not done anything in the sector. This is not a ‘dumsor’. I can best describe what is happening as ‘dark and lovely.” It goes off for a while and restores in the shortest possible time. We are praying that our leaders will address this challenge.
We can’t return to ‘dum kraa. We must move forward and should not bring Mahama back. He lacks the necessary skills to manage our energy sector. We’ve struggled under him before. We had four years of ‘dumsor’. I also heard Mahama instructing us to address the challenge so that he would not be blamed for returning ‘dumsor’. But who informed him that he was returning to power? It indicates that he is admitting that he lacks the necessary skills to address our challenges. “God is aware of this, and he will not allow him to return,” she said.
