Madam Anita Love Obo Amissah, Metropolitan Chief Executive of Awutu Senya East, has warned Ghanaians against voting for former President John Dramani Mahama because he lacks the credibility, competence, and diligence to lead the country.
She believes that voting for Mahama will destroy all of the gains made under the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
She stated that one of the threats that Mahama’s victory poses is the continuation of the free senior high school policy.
According to her, the former president’s promise to review free SHS lacks clarity and will pose significant challenges to the country.
‘In her view, the policies of Dr. Bawumia are well known, unlike Mr. Mahama, who has not presented to Ghanaians clear policies.
”His policies are widely known. Dr. Bawumia has pledged digital jobs if elected. He has promised digital jobs to the youth. He is promised a credit score system similar to those used in other countries, and we are also voting to protect free SHS. The NDC and Mr. Mahama promised Ghanaians that they would review the free SHS. What is the definition of review? There is no clarification. Will some pay while others claim they cannot afford to do so? When this happens, SHS will no longer be free. Mahama has previously opposed free SHS and promised to use the 2 billion for other purposes.
However, he abruptly reversed his position after learning that Ghanaians were applauding the President for implementing free SHS. Eii Breda, what are you saying? We know who originated free SHS. Without free SHS, some Ghanaian children would not have been able to attend Mfantsipim, Wesley Girls, and other A-List schools. Mahama hasn’t changed. If we want someone to run the country, we don’t have to return and bring back Mr. ‘dumsor’.
