The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has stated that the party has no regrets about the leadership change it made in Parliament.
Addressing party supporters during a campaign rally at Ajumako Enyan Essiam in the Central Region on Thursday, November 21, 2024, the immediate past chief scribe of the NDC said that the leadership shake-up was a strategic decision to enhance the party’s performance in Parliament.
He assured the party supporters that the leadership restructuring had yielded positive outcomes for the party.
“Did you witness the criticisms that came after we made the reforms in Parliament? Everybody was picking on me. But we held firm because we saw potential in the new leaders. Would you sack the new leaders we appointed? I know you won’t because they’ve demonstrated it.
“Thank you, God, for opening our eyes. The previous leaders had done their part, but this was a relay race. When an athlete gets exhausted, he passes the baton.
“So we passed the baton to Ato Forson, and he did not disappoint us. We don’t regret it, either.” He has made the party more appealing,” he stated.
