Three more people have died in Bawku as a result of a gun battle.
The death toll now stands at 32, including a schoolgirl.
The violence broke out on Friday, November 29, 2024, following an ongoing conflict in the area.
The latest deaths come after another person was killed just two days ago, highlighting the region’s escalating violence.
According to new information, the gunfight grew more intense in the Gingande-Zongo neighbourhood, where multiple houses were also reportedly burned down.
The shootings started at midnight and went on until about one in the afternoon. Along with the fatalities, numerous others have been shot, some of whom are in critical condition.
