The Bank of Ghana’s latest data shows that Ghana’s public debt has decreased to GH¢761 billion as of October 2024.
The data shows a GHS46.8 billion decrease from the GH¢807.8 billion recorded in September 2024.
These are based on the November 2024 Summary of Economic and Financial Data from the Bank of Ghana.
It stated that the new public debt figure equals 74.6% of GDP.
The total debt stock decreased from US$51 billion the month before to US$46.8 billion during the period under review.
