The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the alleged attack on the Asantehene’s convoy at Techiman in the Bono East region.
The Service in a statement said that its preliminary investigation revealed that the traditional ruler was returning from a funeral at Nkoranza when some youth believed to be from Techiman
The police assured the Ghanaian public that the incident would be thoroughly investigated and the offenders brought to justice.
The statement added that the police are in touch with Manhyia Palace and other stakeholders at Techiman as part of an ongoing investigation.
