Presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has declared that he will only accept the election results if the process is transparent and credible.
The former president told the BBC in an interview that there are some electoral irregularities that have characterised the upcoming elections.
He stated that the process has not been fair and that he will only accept the outcome of the results if the election is credible.
He underscored the need for the Electoral Commission to organise a free, fair, and transparent election on December 7, 2024.
“If on the election day, there is widespread ballot snatching, beating of people and the military moving in and intimidating people and thugs are all over the place, rampaging the place, you want me to accept that result? It will depend on the transparency and the fairness of the process,” he stated.
