The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana will today, Thursday, December 5, conduct special voting in the Eastern and Western regions.
The special voting for the two regions was postponed from December 2 to today after ballots for the regions were recalled.
The exercise was originally scheduled for December 2, 2024. The postponement of the exercise was done at an emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on Sunday, December 1, after a defaced ballot paper marked for destruction was discovered outside the Checkpoint Printing House.
The reprinted materials were delivered to the two regions on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Polls in the Eastern and Western regions will open at 7:00 AM and will close at 5:00 PM.
