Report filed by Rainbow Radio’s Prince Collins Bening has revealed that voters are demanding money before voting in the ongoing elections.
Reporting from the Upper West Akim District, he said some persons have received between Ghc 50 and GHC 100.
He indicated that several of the voters were seen entering into a location to receive the money.
Some persons who have received the money confirmed to him in an interview that they were given the money for voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
One person who had already voted and did not hear about the money went to the location to tell them he was now going to vote and so he should be given the money.
However, someone else stormed the location and told them he was a member of the NDC and so he should not be given the money.
“I had already voted, but after hearing about the money, I rushed to the room to demand my share of the money. But out of nowhere, some rushed into the room and told them I am a member of the NDC, mad, so they should not give me the money.”
