The Electoral Commission (EC) has assured eligible persons who have misplaced their voter cards that they can still vote in the ongoing presidential and parliamentary elections.
This was disclosed by the Deputy Head of Research at the Electoral Commission (EC), Fred Tetteh.
He told journalists that all eligible voters who have lost their voter cards that they can still exercise their right to vote.
He explained that persons who have misplaced their cards can visit their registered polling station and cast their vote after explaining their situation to the EC’s verification officer at the polling station.
“However, if a voter cannot find his/her voter card on this day, you don’t need to worry; just walk into the polling station, provided you are sure it is your polling station.
“Whether you have the card or you don’t have the card, all that is needed is your fingerprints, your face. Just show your face and your fingers, and that is enough.”
