Mark Ewusi, the convenor of Election Watch Ghana, has ruled out the possibility of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia returning as a presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He claimed that Dr. Bawumia’s political career is over following his failure to secure victory in the presidential election.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio’s International Election Watch, he posited that Dr. Bawumia has not lived up to expectation.
He described him as someone lacking credibility, honesty, and sincerity.
He said although Dr. Bawumia promised to ensure the economy was strong, he has failed to live up to the expectation of being the economic desire.
He noted that a vote for Bawumia would be a vote for President Akufo-Addo because he would be manipulating him.
When asked if it would be a good decision to bring him back, he said Dr. Bawumia’s political career has ended. There is no way the NPP is going to bring back Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
His political career has ended.
The analyst said the NPP can pay any amount of money they can pay, but it will amount to nothing.
He claimed that NPP took Ghanaians for granted and monetised the elections.
According to him, people were sent money ahead of the elections.
He alleged that the NPP wanted Jean Mensa to rig the elections in their favour, but that failed, and Ghanaians have voted massively against them.
He said he also feels disappointed in the deployment of soldiers during the elections.
