The current Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central Henry Quartey has been defeated by Abdul Rauf Tongym Tubazu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
The interior minister secured 23,345 votes, whereas Tubazu garnered 29,755 votes to secure his win.
Charles Kwame Adams of the National Democratic Party (NDP) got a total of 163 votes.
There were 287 invalid votes out of the 53,550 votes cast.
