Dr. Benjamin Barnor-Bio, Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission (EC), says the electoral body has yet to receive a single result from the regional collation centres.
In the seventh update, the EC stated that no results had been received at the national collation centre.
‘’For the information of the general public, as we speak, no results have been received at the national collation centre, and I repeat, no results have been received at the national collation centre from the regions. Our feedback from the field is that the results are tripling into the regional collation centres, hence our inability to publish these results at the national collation centre.
He assured the public that once the EC received the results, they would be published.
He urged all citizens to be patient and follow the EC’s periodic announcements.
Dr. Barno-Bio stated that the EC will keep the public informed, as it has done in the past 24 hours.
The EC urged both temporary and permanent employees to be firm in carrying out their duties.
He also urged political party agents to work with the EC’s staff to ensure that results are transmitted smoothly at both the constituency and regional levels.
