President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to support the transition team as they work on ensuring a smooth transition from the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
He underscored the need for Ghanaians to unite in fostering a nation that serves as a beacon of inspiration to others.
He said Ghana is a country united in diversity and freedom and steadfast in its pursuit of progress.
He made the remarks during the inauguration of the transition team in Accra on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
“Ghana stands out as a beacon of democracy and stability, showcasing the strength of our institutions and the maturity of our people. We must continue to consolidate this hard-earned reputation by adhering strictly to the provisions of the Transition Act.
“…I call on all Ghanaians to support this process with patience, understanding, and faith in the institutions that underpin our republic… Let us continue to build a nation that serves as an inspiration to others, a nation united in its diversity and freedom and steadfast in its pursuit of progress,” President Akufo-Addo added.
