My life was under threat for criticising the outgoing Akufo-Addo government—Prophet Oduro

December 15, 2024

Prophet Kofi Oduro of Alabaster International Ministry alleges that the outgoing NPP administration sought to eliminate him earlier this year, prompting his temporary relocation to the United States.

Speaking at a church service on Sunday, December 15, 2024, Prophet Oduro revealed that government sources had informed him that his messages and criticism of the government were perceived as a threat by certain government elements, who consequently targeted his life.

This led to his relocation to the USA for the entire month of May 2024.

Prophet Oduro emphasized that he had been vocal for eight years, urging the presidency to acknowledge its responsibilities to Ghanaians but they ignored it and only saw his messages as a threat.

“They will not listen, they will not listen to the point that this year, from May, my personal life from our personal intel was under threat. I had to tavel and live in the United States for almost one month because you don’t have to be in Ghana.

“What and why do l need to stay in the States? For what? What did l need to do there for a month? Have you ever seen me absent from church events for a whole month before since you joined this church. Because somebody don’t want (the) truth. Yet all l was doing was my job”.

Meanwhile, he also criticized the prophets who predicted Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s victory.

He characterised them as false prophets driven by self-interest in disseminating inaccurate prophecies.

He emphasized that God’s pronouncements are genuine, implying that those prophets who foretold Bawumia’s victory should acknowledge their mistake.

“If God declares that someone will be an MP, you can consume a sack load of salt; the person will win. It is not about those so-called prophecies where people will say you will win, but you will not come into office. God is direct and does not engage in these things. If your prophecies come to pass, you are a true prophet, and if they fail, you are not a prophet.

Some prophets come out to say the prophecy has turned. God does not engage in these fake prophecies. Stop the foolishness and the kwasiesem. I advised you in 2019, and yet, you are still going about with your fake prophecies. The vice president has even accepted defeat, and yet, you are still making foolish comments.”
