Chairman of Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has disclosed that activities of the committee will come at no cost to the taxpayer.
The North Tongu Member of Parliament said the committee held its first meeting at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, and agreed to work gratis.
In a brief post he shared on his official Facebook page, he said the committee members shall not receive per diems, allowances, fuel coupons, and salaries.
His post read “The ORAL Team held its first meeting at 2pm today and has resolved to work gratis.
We shall not be receiving salaries, allowances, per-diems or fuel coupons.
None of our activities will come at a cost to the taxpayer.
We continue to count on your support, let’s do this for God and Country.”

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has formed a five-member preparatory team towards the incoming president’s anti-corruption drive.
Reelected member of parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa will serve as the chairman for the committee.
He would be supported by former Auditor-General Daniel Yaw Domelevo, retired Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathan Kofi Boakye, Martin Kpebu, a private legal practitioner, and Raymond Archer, an investigative journalist.
A statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, spokesperson for the transition team for the President-elect, said, “As a preparatory measure towards the rollout of H.E. John Dramani Maham’s promise to recover proceeds of corruption and hold persons responsible for such corruption accountable when he assumes office, a team has been set up to receive and gather information from members of the public and other sources on suspected acts of corruption.
The statement added that ‘’anti-corruption, with Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) as a major plank, formed a core part of H.E. John Mahama’s policy platform in the 2024 campaign and intends to hit the ground running on these commitments.
