The Electoral Commission (EC) has released an official account of the disruptions that affected the collation of parliamentary results in nine constituencies following the 2024 general elections.
The affected constituencies include Fanteakwa North, Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Techiman South, Ablekuma North, Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Dome-Kwabenya, Ahafo Ano North, Obuasi East, Ahafo Ano South West, Akwatia, and Suhum.
According to the EC, their electoral officers in some instances were attacked and threatened.
The electoral has also claimed that some of their officers coerced by political parties into declaring candidates as winners under duress faced threats to their lives and encountered disruptions involving ballot papers or pink sheets.
