The Ministry of Education has released an additional GH₵25 million to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to support its operations and ensure the smooth and seamless continuation of marking activities.
This comes after WAEC indicated that the initial Ghc 25 million released to the outfit was insufficient.
Kwasi Kwarteng, the Ministry’s spokesperson, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday, December 23, 2024.
In the brief statement he shared on Facebook, he wrote,’The Ministry of Education has released an additional GH₵25 million to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to support its operations and ensure the smooth and seamless continuation of marking activities.
WAEC has assured the Ministry that the 2024 WASSCE results will be released soon,’’ he added.
