President Akufo-Addo delivered his final Christmas message to Ghanaians with a call on citizens to unite and have hope for the future.
He extended warm holiday wishes to the nation and reiterated gratitude, unity, and hope for the future in his message delivered today, Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
The outgoing president asked the Ghanaian public to also remember frontline health workers, security personnel, and other officials who sacrifice themselves in ensuring that we enjoy the festive season.
“As we gather around our tables to share meals, let us think of those who make our celebrations possible: the security personnel standing guard so we may celebrate in safety, the health workers caring for the sick, the farmers and fisherfolk whose labour feeds our families,” President Akufo-Addo said.
He described Ghana as a country destined for greatness while admonishing citizens to cherish our peace and unity.
“Having come to the end of my lawful tenure as president and preparing to step into the next chapter of my life, I leave you with this thought: Ghana is a nation destined for greatness. Let us protect her peace, cherish her unity, and nurture her promise.”
“May this Christmas season fill our hearts with joy, our homes with laughter, and our lives with blessings. May the coming year bring us closer to the Ghana of our dreams, and may God continue to bless our nation and its people abundantly,” he added.
