The registration of elected members of the ninth Parliament is set to begin on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, a statement issued by the Parliamentary Service has revealed.
According to the statement, targeted messages inviting the elected MPs will be sent to all members elect via WhatsApp or emails.
Physical registration, the statement noted, will start January 2, 2025, and end on January 6, 2025.
The statement further revealed that the election of the Speaker for the ninth parliament and swearing in of the MPs-elect will be held at 11:00 pm.
Elected MPs are to be seated by 9:00 pm, the statement added.
