The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) says it has managed to contain the fire outbreak at Saglemi.
The service, in a brief statement, managed to prevent the fire from affecting the housing project itself.
However, five forty-foot containers used as offices for the Saglemi Housing project and their contents were destroyed.
The service said fire officers from Sege and Devtraco Fire Stations were dispatched to the scene to contain the fire.
No casualties were recorded, the GNFS added.
The statement which was shared on Facebook read “Fire was Finally Extinguished at 2102 Hrs after the call was received at 1752Hrs
Fire Involved five (5) Forty Foot Containers Used as Offices for the Saglemi Housing Project
Despite the Containers and its contents being Totally Burnt, Fire Officers from Sege and Devtraco Fire Stations were able to Prevent the Fire From Affecting the housing Project itself and Prevented Any Casualties.”
