President-elect John Dramani Mahama has urged NDC supporters to intensify their prayers in light of the country’s crisis.

He stated that there was a greater need for spiritual commitment than during the campaign.

Mr. Mahama stated that they needed to seek divine guidance to provide the party with the strength and wisdom needed to implement policies that would improve the quality of life for all Ghanaians.

“This is the time we need to engage in more fervent prayers than we did during the campaign for God to grant us the strength and wisdom to implement measures that will make Ghana a better place to live. All I will say is that it is finished; God has already done it.”

He also accused the outgoing NPP government of setting a trap for the incoming administration, but he was optimistic God will see them through.

“The NPP government has set a trap for us. But we shall not be caught in that trap; we will escape unscathed. The Almighty God, who granted us electoral victory, will see us through the difficulties ahead until we achieve success. God will give us the wisdom to lead this country and make it better for future generations.”
