The Electoral Commission (EC) has declared New Patriotic Party’s Charles Forson as the MP-elect for Tema Central.
He was declared the winner in the following final collation done on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
The final collation was held following an order by an Accra High Court on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
The NPP’s candidate defeated Ebi Bright of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with 55 more votes of the total valid votes cast.
Forson polled 18,870 votes, whereas Ebi Bright polled 18,815 votes, and Frederick Aniagyei, who received 209 votes.
The total valid votes stood at 37,894, with 144 rejected ballots, making the overall total votes cast 38,038.
