President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that their decision to bring him back to power will not be in vain.

“Your courage to bring me in again, will not be in vain. I will have the humility and presence of mind to address our challenges. I intend to tell you the truth. I will be the leader Ghana wants, ” Mr Mahama assured.

“Governments have no power except that granted by the people. Unfortunately, many within our population do not feel part of our democracy.” he said.

“I wish to assure you that there is hope on the horizon. Today marks an opportunity to reset. Your vote will matter in the work I do,” President Mahama noted.

“Economic restoration, improvement of business environment, governance as well as accountability and fight against corruption,” he added.

Meanwhile, President John Mahama has outlined four areas he would focus on in resetting the economy.

The areas are:

Economic restoration and stabilisation

Improvement of the business and investment environment
