President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Lands Commission to halt the sale, lease, or processing of transactions involving state and public lands.
This was contained in a statement issued by Executive Secretary to the President Dr. Callistus Mahama.
The statement explained that the directive issued to the Commission is to help preserve state and public lands for the collective benefit of citizenry and future generations.
In view of this, all ongoing and pending transactions are to be halted without any delay.
This is to facilitate a comprehensive review of the current framework for the management of such lands.
