A taxi driver who was taken to the hospital for medical treatment after a colleague allegedly hit him in the head with a spanner has died.

Evans Owusu, 59, was identified as the driver who died.
The sad incident occurred after the suspect, Alex Amihere, and Evans Owusu had a heated argument about who was next to load.

Reporting the story on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Oheneba Ademah said Evans was first sent to Gomoa Obuasi Hospital but was later referred to the Winneba Trauma Hospital, where he is reported to have died.
He stated that the two fought and were separated, but the suspect, who was dissatisfied, went in for the spanner and allegedly struck the other driver in the head, causing him to fall.
”He was rushed to Gomoa Hospital and then transferred to the Trauma Hospital. The hospital discovered that Evans’ skull had been damaged, which had an impact on his mental function,” according to the reporter.
Oheneba Ademah added that the suspect is currently on the run after he got information that the driver had died.
The police have launched an investigation and a manhunt to arrest the suspect.
