Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has revealed that he has been receiving threats.
The North Tongu Member of Parliament said the threats have become a daily feature.
He disclosed this while speaking in an interview with Joy News.
“Threats have become a daily feature, but we have tough skin, and we know the Good Lord will protect us,” he shared.
“I have been subjected to a lot of propaganda, fake news, and people just trying to demonise me.”
The MP stated that he was not bothered by the threats and will continue working in the interest of the country.
“We remain unaffected; we are resolute and focused.”.
President John Dramani Mahama recently constituted the ORAL committee.
The mandate of the five-member committee is to, among other things, receive and gather information from the Ghanaian public and other sources on suspected acts of corruption.
Former Auditor General Daniel Yaw Domelevo, a retired Commissioner of Police (COP); Nathan Kofi Boakye, a private legal practitioner; Martin Kpebu; and investigative journalist Raymond Archer are members of the committee.
