President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Charles Kipo as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
He would be replacing Nana Attobrah Quaicoe, who resigned as Director-General of NIB.
The latest appointment was revealed in a statement issued by the acting presidential spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
Charles Kipo, an experienced intelligence and security expert, has been tasked with overseeing NIB operations to ensure the country’s safety and stability.
His extensive background in intelligence and national security is expected to provide new perspectives for the NIB.
He is also expected to lead strategic initiatives aimed at improving collaboration between intelligence agencies and other branches of government in response to emerging security threats.
