News reaching Rainbowradioonline.com indicates that Member of Parliament for Bawku, Mahama Ayariga, will be replacing Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Majority Leader and leader of Government Business.
The MP is a professionally trained lawyer with extensive understanding of constitutional law.
Dr. Forson is currently the majority leader and has been nominated as Minister of Finance.
He led the National Democratic Congress (NDC), then in the minority caucus in the 8th Parliament.
But details emerging indicate that Mr. Ayariga will replace the following a consensus reached by the majority caucus and the party’s leadership.
Several individuals have commended the news, describing it as one of the best decisions the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken in the appointments so far done.
Private legal practitioner Oliver Barker-Vormawor, in a Facebook post, described it as a brilliant choice.
He was optimistic that Mr. Ayariga will one day rise to the position as Speaker or Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

Meanwhile, special aide to President John Dramani Mahama has also described Mr. Ayariga as a fantastic choice for the position as majority leader.
