The minister-designate for youth development and empowerment has assured the Ghanaian public that he will deal aggressively with youth unemployment in the country when given the nod.
George Opare-Addo, the nominee who is also the National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), said this when he appeared before the Appointments Committee on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
He stated that unemployment poses a significant threat to national stability and growth, therefore underscoring the need for every government to initiate policies and train and develop the capabilities of Ghanaian youth for a sustainable future.
“We will aggressively tackle unemployment in Ghana,” he said.
He further assured that under his administration, funds will be secured through any means possible for youth initiatives.
“We will knock on every door and go wherever we can to seek funding to support the youth,” Opare-Addo added.
