Parliament has approved the nominations of three more ministers-designate of President John Dramani Mahama.
They are Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare as ministers for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Gender, Children and Social Protection, and Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, respectively.
The three have been approved following their successful vetting by the Appointments Committee.
The report of their vetting was submitted before the plenary and debated today, Thursday, January 23, 2025.
The approved ministers would be sworn into office by President John Dramani Mahama to officially begin work.
In a related development, the House has also approved the nomination of National Youth Organiser George Opare Addo, who was nominated by the President for the newly created Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment.
