President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Adulai Bashiru Dapilah as the acting chief Executive Officer of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).
The appointment, according to a letter issued by the Office of the President, said the appointment is in accordance with Article 195(1) of the constitution and Section 11(1) of the EOCO Act, 2010 (Act 804).
The letter signed by Executive Secretary to the President Callistus Mahama said that Bashiru Dapilah has been appointed pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing Board of the Authority given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
The appointment takes effect from January 27, 2025, and the appointee has 14 days to indicate his acceptance or otherwise.
