Madam Priscilla Mensah, a senior meteorologist at the Kotoka International Airport, has advised drivers to take caution over changes in the weather patterns.
She stated that the southern sector of the country, although in a relation period, will experience slightly hazy, fairly dry, and foggy weather conditions.
Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, she said the weather is expected to remain in this condition through the week.
For drivers in the Western and Eastern regions, she advised them to take caution as they will experience foggy weather conditions.
“For those in the Western and Eastern regions, they will experience foggy weather conditions, and so we are admonishing the drivers to drive with caution and take the necessary precaution.”
She went on to reveal that we should expect localised rains in the coming weekends.
“We are expecting localised activities of rains. So, for example, if you reside at La Paz, the clouds with rains. We are not in the rainy season, but because of the relation of the harmattan, we will expect localised activities of rains. The harmattan is not over, and so the drivers should drive with caution, especially early in the morning.”
She stated that persons in the northern sector of the country are still experiencing dry and hazy weather conditions.
Madam Priscilla Mensah advised them to stay hydrated and avoid activities that can trigger fire outbreaks.
